Abstract
This study aimed to plan for the implementation of integrated open-source automated systems and to explore the feasibility of creating a unified catalog for Sana'a University libraries. The objectives were to enhance the efficiency and quality of library services, elevate institutional performance, and reduce costs associated with the current automated system. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, gathering data through personal interviews, direct observation, and a review of documents related to the existing system. This methodology facilitated an assessment of current needs and challenges, as well as an analysis of the potential benefits of implementing the Koha system to create a unified catalog. The results indicated that implementing Koha could contribute to establishing a unified catalog for Sana'a University libraries, thereby improving library resource management, facilitating information access, and increasing user satisfaction. The study also identified several potential challenges, most notably the need for staff training and the assurance of continuous technical support.
