Transparency and Freedom and Their Role in the Democratic Transition in Chad

Abstract

The study focuses on transparency and freedom in terms of definition and principles, which are clarity in administrative procedures and access to information to all citizens with the ability to choose actions and words, act freely, and not limit or restrict them, except for what is necessary to organize.

     Freedom and transparency contribute to the process of democratic transformation, because the adoption of transparency in information makes everything clear and thus contributes to the process of rationalizing the administration and reducing corruption, which is an obstacle to democracy, because transparency in administrative matters leads to the rationalization of administration and knowledge of state affairs and policy, and ensures the effective participation of civil society associations, and the contribution of all opposition political parties. The Chadian people must be guaranteed full freedom, whether individual or public, the most important of which is freedom of expression, opinion and thought, as they are freedoms that contribute to the process of democratic transition without external or internal pressures, which ensures the process of democratic transition in an effective manner.
