Abstract

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the level of psychological loneliness and its relationship with borderline personality disorder among the students of Mu'tah University and the effect of the variables of (gender, faculty) on them. The study used the descriptive correlational approach. The sample consisted of (500) male and female students from Mu'tah University. Besides, the researcher used the scale of psychological loneliness and the scale of borderline personality disorder after developing them and verifying their validity and reliability. The results revealed that the level of psychological loneliness and borderline personality disorder was medium. Also, they showed that there is a positive correlation relationship between psychological loneliness and borderline personality disorder. The results revealed that there is no difference in the relationship between the scale of psychological loneliness and the scale of borderline personality disorder among the students of Mu'tah university according to the variables of gender and faculty.
