Abstract

 The study aimed to follow up and analyze the political positions of the rulers of the Omani coast sheikhdoms from the British government’s decision to withdraw from the Arabian Gulf region, as the last years of the sixties witnessed an important shift in British policy, represented by the British Labor Party government’s announcement of its decision to withdraw its military forces from the Persian Gulf region. By 1971, the reasons were attributed to purely economic factors. It should be noted here that the issue of the British withdrawal from the Arabian Gulf has captured the attention of many Gulf and Arab circles, including the sheikhdoms of the Omani coast, because they are directly concerned with the British withdrawal decision.The researchers used the chronological order of events, and the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are.
