Criticism of the Text for the Modernists between Acceptance and Response

Abstract

This study aims to return to the subject of criticism of the text among the modernists to reveal their efforts in defending the honorable Sunnah by criticizing what is not correct from the texts. Although the subject of study is clearly defined, but the error in it is unforgivable because it is related to memorizing the Sunnah. The researcher depended on the descriptive-analytical approach based on the narration and analysis of hadiths related to the subject. Therfore, he reached several results, the most important of which are that: The modernist in the case of criticism looks at both the bond and the text together, and that the efforts of the advanced scholars in criticizing the texts varied according to the modern art. The researcher recommended the necessity of collecting and arranging the efforts of advanced and late scholars according to specialization to solve the problem of criticizing the texts of the modernists.
